Our story

Like many clubs, there are folk at Budleigh Cricket who have had their lives touched by mental health challenges so we are proud to be taking on Dawn Walk on October 12 by walking 5K at sunrise to help make sure there’s someone there for anyone who needs someone. This year, it's not just a walk; it's a celebration of World Mental Health Day, in solidarity with those struggling to cope. Your donation means a lot to us just £20 could help to answer four calls for help that could save someone's life. Please see more information below about Samaritans life-saving work. Thank you 💚 Every ten seconds, Samaritans answer a call for help. We’re here, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. That’s why we work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.
